Troubleshooting a 200a sustain pedal

Postby ol_commuter on Thu Jan 06, 2011 12:43 pm

Greetings all,

I just picked up a Wurlitzer 200a after lusting after one for years. Of course, the second I bring it home and take the shield off to see what's goin on under the hood, the sustain pedal stops working. I'm hoping it's something minor because it was functioning perfectly before I pulled the shield off. I'm wondering if I may have accidentally bumped something. The cable still seems to be fine, is there some delicate connection in the keyboard I should look at? what is the first step in assessing what your problem is with the 200a sustain pedal?

thanks!

congrats on the new wurli!

check that the sustain pedal ferrule (attached to the top of the pedal cable) is snug on the screw coming out of the bottom of the wurli. Did you take apart were the damper assembly connects to the pedal rod? You might want to check this over carefully as well.
