Supply Voltage Gone!!

Postby pjmusic on Thu Jun 11, 2009 3:32 pm

Hi Chris and Greg,

I'm having a bit of a hard time getting my 80W Peterson Power Supply to function correctly. The plus 35 and minus 35 voltages appear to be absent, and the plus 25V in the centre is only reading at 13V. It has been doing this since I originally tried to bridge the capacitors, and may have done it wrong. When I originally hooked it up, it tripped the circuit breaker.
I've replaced the zener diode, bridged the filter capacitors (correctly, this time, and the pilot light lights up fine now) and replaced the capacitors on the pcb, as well as re-soldered any connections I thought even remotely bad, but something still appears to be wrong somewhere in the circuit.

I understand that the cause of this problem is most likely my own doing, but I was wondering if you might have any insight into what could be causing the problem.

Thanks again!!!
