Super Continental problem..

Postby psands on Mon Oct 06, 2008 4:57 pm

I have a Super C. that has a horrible low-end hum only when the keys are depressed. It gets louder the more keys that are played. It doesn't seem to be a ground problem as it doesn't make the noise when simply turned on and not being played. I'm not much of a techy but wondering what the heck the problem may be and if it's a common and or a simple fix. Anyone????

Sorry, it's hard to tell what the problem is without seeing it. It seems like it will take some trouble shooting to figure out. Maybe one of the our other readers can help you out.

My Italian Continental had this problem. Whenever a key was depressed there would be a hum tuned to about a B. Turned out to be a bad electrolytic in the power supply.
