Standard Kit for Wurlitzer 200

Postby miltown on Mon May 23, 2011 9:59 am

Hey I just purchased the standard kit for the Wurlitzer 200. I have a few questions. The transistors , the pinouts I assume are the same as the originals and the 3 .33uf caps are to replace the original (C38,C44,C27) 3 virbrato caps that are .12uf , you guys are just bumping them up I assume. Also there is a 4th virbrato cap that is .22uf (C47) that is not included in the kit. Is this all correct?

Thanks paul

Transistor pinouts are NOT the same. Check the VV website for details. basically need to swap B and C legs on the small signal transistors.

The caps you are describing are the high voltage caps, NOT the vibrato caps. Some older 200's only have 2 of these, but you can mod the board to add the 3rd, which helps keep the proper voltage going to the reed bar.
